M1005 SSI and SSI Related 

This section defines the eligibility requirements and the eligibility determination process for each SSI and SSI Related program. The eligibility for some of these programs is determined by the SSA, while the eligibility for others is determined by WDH.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) is a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services that administers federal social security programs. SSI and SSI Related programs provide additional Medicaid benefits for these individuals. Notification to the State of an individual’s eligibility for these programs is transmitted through the SDX.
